Welcome to the Star Gun Club
The Star Gun Club was formed on the fields of Barts Farm nearly 20 years
ago by a small group of keen clay busters, serving people such as an
ex-Police Officer, a local publican, a farmer and a gunsmith. They used to
borrow money from the Pub till for supplies and carry traps, clays etc
across the road to the farmers field where they would shoot clays for their
amusement on Sunday mornings. Friendship was the entire structure of the
club.
Today the Star Gun Club is a thriving private Club of nearly 400 members
who enjoy challenging targets across 10 to 12 stands set in beautiful
rolling countryside at Malden Rushett in Surrey. The Club leases around 20
acres from the Crown Estate and meets every second and fourth Sunday in the
month for a competitive Club Shoot.
Membership is restricted and there is always a waiting list of shooters
hoping to join. Many of our members have been with the club since its
inception. We have a reputation of being one of the finest private shoots in
Surrey. We endeavour to foster the sport of clay pigeon shooting and our
Colt section is growing (colts shoot free) and advice is freely given by our
many Class AA shooters to colts and to new members.
Shooting is restricted to members and guests but we have one Open Shoot
in July every year where the profits are donated to a local charity selected
by the members.
